The Music Club jammed out at Gathering on Wednesday with a performance of late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train.”

The club’s personnel spanned grades and instruments. On vocals, seniors Izzy Schafer and Nicholas Wheatley with junior Keelyn Smey and sophomore Gianna Belcher took center stage; juniors Jackson Hirsh and Ashym Patel rocked out on guitars; juniors Emilio Espinoza and Julian Heller alternated on drums; junior Stella Tate and sophomore Axel Downing strummed bass; and finally, senior Nicholas Wheatley ran the house on alto saxophone.The Music Club is advised by Upper School Computer Science Department Chair Bobby Oommen.
“It was a really fun challenge to sing this song,” vocalist Izzy said. “It felt very different to sing something [by] Ozzy Osbourne.”
English singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne died of a heart attack after suffering from coronary artery disease, which restricts blood flow to the heart.
“We wanted to play this song in honor of Ozzy who passed [away] this summer,” Jackson said.
