Anderson Miller (AM)
What’s been the best part of your sophomore year so far?
I think the best part of the year is experiencing new classes that were available and being able to choose.
What’s something that’s been challenging for you recently, in or out of school?
I’ve really had to work on balancing sports and academics this year.
What made you want to play soccer at Latin?
I’ve always liked the sport and found it fun to watch. Then, once my friends started playing, I did too.
What’s a moment from soccer at Latin that stands out to you?
Scoring a penalty kick in a game.
What’s your usual weekday like, balancing school, homework, and activities?
I usually try to finish all my homework during free periods because I don’t have time after school to do it with sports, and it takes a while to get home.
What’s something you’ve learned about yourself this year?
How well I can manage my time, because I didn’t know that before, and I honestly never had to do it.
What made you decide to start playing volleyball this year?
First, I needed the credit, but once I started playing, I had a ton of fun and started making friends on the team.
What surprised you most about volleyball compared to soccer?
You need to have great communication in volleyball, and you need more teamwork.
If you had a completely free day off, what would you do?
Probably go to the park with my friends and play some sports all day.
If you were a teacher at Latin, what class would you want to teach, and why?
Physics, because it’s pretty interesting, and I feel like students would be interested in the class.
What’s a goal you have for yourself going forward?
I want to keep managing my time well and stay connected with my friends.
