Cece Burt (CM)
What are you most proud of?
My old soccer club, because I had been there 10 or 11 years and it taught me a lot, and I made good friends there, too.
What motivates you?
My friends and sports and academics. When I see them trying really hard and having good outcomes, it encourages me to do the same.
What’s your favorite thing to do?
Play soccer with my friends or sleep. Sleeping is very peaceful, and I think soccer is time-consuming, but in a good way. Because I like it, time goes by fast while I play.
What’s your favorite soccer memory?
I got to go to Europe to play a soccer tournament.
What was that experience like?
Me and my friend from my club got asked to play with this team from LA in three different places in Europe for a friendly soccer tournament. It was really memorable and very fun, because I made a lot of friends from the LA team but also from Europe and the other teams.
What is your greatest soccer accomplishment?
Probably the Europe tournament, because it was a really cool experience.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?
Anywhere in Italy. I’ve never been, and in the summertime it seems really pretty.
What’s your favorite Latin tradition?
Probably on the last day of school when we sing “Sweet Caroline.” It’s kind of annoying, but I still like it.
What did you like about the song?
I think just because the whole Middle School was together and it reminds me of eighth grade when a few of my close friends left Latin.
What has been your favorite part of freshman year?
Maybe the retreat. It was a little interesting. I thought it was going to be really weird, but it was actually a lot of fun, because I got to meet a lot of the new kids and it was nice out and we just did a bunch of activities together. Or sports, because I got to become friends with a lot of people from other grades.
