Senior Lauren Rosenberg broke Latin’s all-time goal record with a lead-taking strike during an intense match against Lisle High School on April 18. With 91 career goals—22 and counting during the 2026 season—Lauren’s accomplishment represents years of commitment to soccer.
“I was definitely really proud when I broke the school record,” she said. “I was supported by my teammates, coaches, and family, and I feel lucky to be a part of an empowering team culture.”

This team environment reflects the supportive culture that she and co-captain and senior Beth Rosenow have intentionally cultivated. Since their start together as freshmen on varsity, Beth has witnessed Lauren’s unwavering talent and determination.
“As a player, I mean, she’s phenomenal,” Beth said. “Obviously, as the leading goal scorer, she just really knows how to put the ball in the back of the net, and she really carries the team on her back, even since she was a freshman.”
Beyond Lauren’s skill, her leadership highlights her determination and commitment to her team both on and off the field.

“The amount of time and effort she puts into soccer, the amount she cares, is really, really admirable,” Beth said. “You can just tell that she’s just miles above everyone we play and everyone on the team, but she’s so humble about it, which is really cool. I love her. She’s the absolute best, funniest, most energetic, and talented player on the field.”
Lauren’s soccer legacy will continue as she finishes her senior season and plays at Williams College starting this fall.
“This feels like a special milestone in my soccer career,” Lauren said, “but I’m also excited to keep working and improving.”
