What’s the best Halloween costume you’ve ever done?

Me and my friends last year were angels and devils.

What is your favorite thing to do when we have a day off school?

Hang out with my friends and get my work done and do something fun with my friends.

What do y’all normally do together?

Go shopping, just like hang out and meet up with people.

If your friends had to describe you in three words, what would they be?

Outgoing, talkative, and athletic.

What sport do you play?

I run. I do track and cross country.

Why’d you choose cross country?

I was good at it and just decided to do it. It’s not the most fun, but it works.

What’s the race you’ve been most proud of?

Probably my race at cross country state last year.

How did you do?

I was 17th all-state in 1A.

What were you thinking when you crossed the finish line?

I was just happy that this season was over because it was a very long season. I was just happy with what I’d accomplished that season.

If you could hype your teammates up before a race, what would you say?

Probably that we’ve all worked hard in practice for the moments that we’re on the start line and that we’re racing and we’ve all put in the work. The work that you put in is going to come out in the race.

What does that work look like for you on a day-to-day?

We do two workouts a week—so that’s faster-paced running. And then we do three other easy runs and like pre-meet runs. So every day after school.

What’s one thing about your life that looks different than it did when you started high school?

I have a lot more free time to get my work done and hang out with friends.

What’s your favorite thing to do during your free?

Get my work done so I don’t have homework when I get home or go with my friends to get lunch during a long lunch.

What Latin tradition are you most looking forward to for the next year?

The Homecoming games at Montrose.

Do you run during Romans Run?

Last year I did.

Why do you think you’re so determined to stay on top of your work during frees?

I don’t want homework when I get home, and I’d rather use that time to talk to my friends rather than try and cram in work.

Dogs or cats and why?

Dogs, because I like my dog. Her name is Hazel.

What’s your favorite candy and why?

I like M&M’s because, why not?

Do you think all the colors taste the same or do they taste different?

They all taste the same.
