Latin’s varsity boys volleyball team lost narrowly to Jones College Prep last Friday in a tight three-set match.
The Romans built an early lead in the first set and then stayed close before losing 30-28. Sophomore Martin Testai and freshman Miles Woodhouse served particularly well.
The boys upped their game and energy in the second set, with many fast-paced rallies. Latin won the second set 25-23.
The third set was also close. Jones emerged with a 25-23 win to take the match.
Junior Andrew Legendre said, “We played great, but a couple small errors added up and it slipped away from us.”
