About the Contributors
Scarlet Gitelson, Editor-in-Chief
Scarlet Gitelson (‘26) is delighted to be serving as one of this year’s Editors-in-Chief. Using her writing, she seeks to promote connection and discourse within the Latin community, and encourages other writers to do the same. Covering content as far-reaching as faculty turnover, anti-LGBTQ+ language, or student of the week, Scarlet is always up for the challenge of a new story. When she isn’t writing for The Forum, she can be found competing on Latin’s Math, Scholastic Bowl, and Ultimate Frisbee teams, endeavoring to find Chicago’s best coffee, re-watching Oppenheimer for the twelfth time, or diving into a fun astrophysics textbook.
Lucia Meno, Managing and Standards Editor
Lucia Meno (’26) is thrilled to spend her third year on The Forum as Managing and Standards Editor. She hopes to cover the stories that make Latin tick, relaying information with both timeliness and accuracy. Outside of The Forum, she is a captain of the varsity girls swim and water polo teams and a head of Women in STEM; she enjoys shopping, baking, and spending time with friends.
Anderson Miller, Sports Editor
Anderson Miller (‘27) is a junior at Latin and is ecstatic to serve as a Sports Editor for The Forum. This is his second year writing for The Forum, and he is looking forward to reporting on Latin student-athletes and the successes of the Romans. Outside of The Forum, Anderson serves as a head of Hope Squad and Students of Faith, is a member of the volleyball team, and, among other things, he enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and three dogs.
Carla Di Silvestro, Managing and Standards Editor
Carla Di Silvestro (‘27) is elated to be one of this year’s Managing and Standards Editors for The Forum. She looks forward to amplifying voices throughout the Latin community and covering an array of relevant topics. Outside of The Forum, Carla is a member of Latin’s varsity field hockey and track teams, serves as Co-Curricular Chair on the Student Government Executive Board, co-heads Model United Nations, and plays piano. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with friends, family, and her dog, Bella.

Cece Burt (‘27) is so excited to return to The Forum this year as a Features Editor. Outside of The Forum, Cece is a member of the girls varsity field hockey and lacrosse teams and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
