Spirit Week 2010!

[caption id="attachment_866" align="alignleft" width="60" caption="Show your ROMAN spirit!"][/caption] Akeira Jennings Managing Editor The time has finally come for Latin’s beloved Spirit Week!  Just as everyone is beginning to feel the stress of another school year, Spirit Week manages to revive the community’s enthusiasm and reminds both students and faculty that Latin can be a place of fun. On Monday, students are permitted (expected) to wear their pajamas to school. On Tuesday, students and faculty may wear their clothes on backwards without being laughed at or judged. On Wednesday, the Latin School of Chicago turns preppy, as everyone should dress in country club attire. On Thursday, replication is encouraged, as students should have a twin for the day. On Friday, everyone is expected to show their school spirit by dressing in all orange and blue. This Saturday, October 9th, Spirit week is concluded with the annual Homecoming festivities. Girls Varsity Field Hockey plays Parker at 1pm on the turf field in Lincoln Park, followed by the Boys Varsity Soccer game, also against Parker. The homecoming dance is celebrated in the Field Gym from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Although there are often disagreements with the DJ’s playlist, both Booster and Student Government have worked together to best fit everyone’s interests by placing song request sheets in the hallways. Express your school spirit and celebrate LSC SPIRIT WEEK 2010!]]>
