Interview with Nichol Hooker, Math

Nichol Hooker will be joining the upper school Mathematics Department teaching Algebra 2 and AP Calculus. Nichol began her teaching career at St. John High School in Plaquemine, Louisiana through the Alliance for Catholic Education program. Upon completion of the program, she moved to Chicago and taught for 12 years at Loyola Academy.  Nichol earned a B.A. in elementary education from Loras College, an M. Ed. in secondary mathematics education from the University of Notre Dame and an Ed.D. in cultural and educational policy studies from Loyola University Chicago with a dissertation focused on service learning.  Most recently, she was a stay at home mom for her two boys. She is very excited to return to teaching and to join such a dynamic and committed faculty.
