As an adult who has been working on creating the Honor Council, I want to remind everyone that one of the biggest roles the Honor Council has is to educate individual students who come before the board as well as the community at large. Most of the situations you are referring to have not specifically been discussed as the people involved in the creation of the Council wished to allow for the people elected to the Council to be involved in the decision-making process regarding situations. In other words, we have created a framework for the Council but think it is up to the participants on the Council to decide the details. I hope that you will come to some of the open meetings and raise these questions when the Council is in place.
I for one now really want to hear direct responses from the administration for every one of these hypothetical possibilities, and more. I’m serious, and I will be awaiting the answers.
