2017 was a rollercoaster of a year, but we’re proud as editors of the work the Forum staff has done to engage the Latin community in challenging subject matter and spread discourse. Thankfully, 2018 brings new possibilities, auditions for next year’s editorial board, and the chance for anyone with a desire to share their voice to write for the Forum. As the year wraps to a close, we’d like to take a minute to thank all of you who have written thoughtful and eloquent articles for the Forum and to those of you who constantly read and comment on the articles writers spend weeks to create. The Forum is a spectacular aspect of Latin, and we’re lucky to have a school which celebrates and encourages the spread of ideas and information whether profound or simple, defiant or affirming, controversial or certain. In the new year, we will continue to strive to share empathetic, sincere commentary while maintaining an ever-growing standard of limited censorship and honesty. We’d like to dedicate this edition to Mr. Mok, who has been a role model in our community for 37 years and who will deeply missed and always deeply appreciated. We wish him the best of luck in his retirement. Happy Holidays, Romans! Will and Eleanor]]>
