I’ve had writer’s block lately. I come up with great first lines or ideas, and then the rest of what I get down is mush, mush, and more mush. It’s pretty unusual for me, because I always have something to rant about. Perplexed, I analyzed my dilemma. Once I start analyzing anything, I end up with a problem because overthinking is more than inevitable for me. It never ends well. All right, so how do I fix this problem? Which problem you ask. Well, both of them. I welcome your suggestions; you can just leave them in the comments. So, until I can get more than a one liner out or elaborate on my fabulous ideas, I thought I’d entertain you with the ones related to Latin. Laugh, or don’t, as needed. If one of them inspires you by some magical chance, I’d prefer you didn’t steal it but rather tell me what it makes you think. But if you do decide to take it, we both know the Honor Council can deal with the issue. Here are questions running through my mind, and I’d love to hear what you think.
-
How awkward are those student of the week interviews?
-
When do project weeks come out? I’m getting antsy.
-
Why is first semester senioritis a thing?
-
Why does the hallway have that stank and how can I make it go away?
-
How do people know if they know enough to join Scholastic Bowl?
-
So, no one else is confused by this absence policy?
-
Why are the last 3 carpeted steps so much steeper than the other ones?
-
Why is Latin advertising on the back of buses?
-
What craziness is going to happen for Latin’s 200th anniversary?
-
So, if I’m late to gathering and there’s a serial killer in the pit, what should I do?
-
It would be okay if I took over the hollow space between my locker and the one next-door, right?
-
Why can I no longer see the rosters for classes I’m not in on RomanNet?
This list isn’t complete. I want to hear what you guys are either utterly confused about or just wondering. Latin’s rules sometimes sound like they are written in Latin. I take Spanish, so you see my problem.
