Readers, My, my, long weekends are really something. They’re a chance to relax, to get ahead on your studies (or likely not), watch all the movies nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars, to leave your house downwards of three times, to order absurd amounts of pizza, to visit family, to consume endless YouTube videos, to anticipate the pain that comes along with being out of shape for spring sports season…Well, at least that’s what it looked like for us. This issue of the Forum zeros in on us Latin students— our achievements in arts activism, our ability to adhere or protest the confines of our learning, and our identities, whether that’s honoring our religion or musing on our socio-economic status— in lieu of looking outward to our broader community. We’re both proud and blue to publish this issue. Proud, because of our staff’s improvement in their writing and information-culling. And blue, because it’s our last formal edition before audition season and the end-of-the-year issue. Contrary to our ethos, words don’t suffice in describing how strongly we feel for and about The Forum. It’s been our ever-growing, wacky, and brilliant family for the past four years. And on that sentimental note, happy, happy reading. Warmly, Alice and Olivia]]>
