The Forum Editorial Board Calling all you doodlers, artists, digital image-ers, creatives, what have you. Forum’s logo has been going strong and steady since the beginning of time; but, with a new Learning Commons, bridge, Upper School Director, and an influx of freshmen, we decided it’s time to shake things up. We are holding a student submission contest for the new logo. This year we want to focus on showcasing the diverse skills of our very own, very talented Latin peers. Just because you like drawing in the margins of essays instead of writing them doesn’t mean you don’t have a place in the Forum! We welcome all submissions through 4 P.M. on Wednesday, September 26th (that’s roughly three weeks from now). And yes, there is a prize for the winner! Not only does the winner get the honor and bragging rights of being the Forum logo artist, a coveted and sought-after position, but they will also receive a $20 giftcard to either Starbucks, Chipotle, or Potbelly’s. A few necessities for our future logo: → Include our name — the Forum — in your design → We’d like the design to be fun, yet still sophisticated → Incorporate Latin somehow, whether it be blue and orange, the Chicago skyline, the Roman, etc. (This is up for interpretation — get creative.) → Submit it in such a way that it can be used digitally (sent as .png OR .jpeg) When you’re finished, email your submission to [email protected]. Now go sketch! We can’t wait to see your creativity shine through.]]>
