Latin senior and golf captain Jack Zeiger announced his commitment this week to continue his athletic and academic career at Kenyon College.

Since his freshman year, Jack has been a dominant force in Illinois high school golf. He has enjoyed one of the most decorated careers in Latin golf history. His accolades include three-time all-conference, three-time all-regional, two-time all-state, Payton-Jones Invitational champion, and Independent School League (ISL) player of the year. Already this season, he has expanded his trophy case, most recently shooting a 64 (8 under par) to win the ISL Championship, breaking his own school record from last year.
Beyond the numbers and trophies, Jack Zeiger has been a consistent leader for Latin’s golf team, setting an example for his teammates and coaches alike. “He is always hyping the boys up,” said senior teammate Joshua Tseitlin. “Jack is a fantastic captain.”

After several visits, Jack chose Kenyon College, the 12th-ranked Division III golf team in the country. “I want to be challenged at the highest level possible,” Jack said, emphasizing the importance of an intense golf schedule as well as academic reputation.
Kenyon finished 8th during the NCAA Golf National Championship in the 2023-24 season, as well as being named the Academic National Champions, boasting the highest team GPA in college golf. In the most recent academic year, 2024-25, the Kenyon men’s golf team finished 13th in the nation.
For the remainder of the 2025 season and onwards, Jack plans to continue his success. “My hopes for the future are to lead Latin to a state title,” Jack said. “I also want to start at Kenyon and win a national championship there.”
