What is a memory that you wish you could hold on to forever?
One of my favorite memories from Latin is definitely the sports teams I've been a part of, so soccer and baseball. Both of them were just so much fun, and the kids, especially freshman year on the soccer team, were just so nice, and they're some of my best friends at Latin.
Why soccer and baseball?
I grew up playing soccer when I was really little, and then I quit for a little bit; baseball my dad really likes, and I liked it too. That's why the two sports, and then I think I just wanted to play sports. One, for the credit, because then you don't have to take a PE class, which is always nice. But also, I thought it was just a really fun way to spend my time after school.
What motivates you?
I think that a couple of things motivate me, but I think I just want to set a good example for my brother, who's a sophomore. I feel like I'd be letting him and my family down if I didn't try.
If there is one lesson you wish your brother could learn from you, what would it be?
This is kind of a general lesson, and he's only a sophomore, so he has time, but apply to as many colleges as you can. I didn't apply to that many colleges that I actually liked. I really wish that I’d applied to a lot more colleges just to have a lot more options. And I'm very fortunate that my college process worked out very well, but if it didn't, then I would have been really disappointed in myself for not putting the effort in.
What do you want people to remember you by?
I think just having a general good consensus that I was just a fun person, just funny to be around, good to be around.
If you could go to any city, where would it be?
I think that I would go to New York. I've been there a couple times, but it's just such an amazing city, and there are just so many things to do there. It's kind of similar to Chicago, but it's just obviously bigger and on the coast. I think that it's a really fun city that I would definitely go back to.
