Latin students traded blue jeans and black leggings for all things pink on Wednesday, marching into the Upper School in bubble gum and fuschia for the third day of Spirit Week. Inspired by the hit 2000s movie Mean Girls, the theme was modeled after the iconic quote, “On Wednesdays, we wear pink.”
While the movie portrayed pink as a sign of social dominance and selectivity, Wednesday’s theme united all Latin community members, who donned the color to promote school spirit.
Co-Curricular Prefect and senior Juliette Katz said, “I am really happy because a lot of the teachers [wore] pink. Having the whole school involved really helps promote student participation!”
