Latin students showed off their jerseys on Tuesday as part of a stacked week of dress-up days—including Pajama Day, Pink Day, Adam Sandler Day, and Orange and Blue Day—leading into Homecoming weekend. Students wore a variety of jerseys, representing the Bears, White Sox, Cubs, Blackhawks, and various soccer players.
Some students got creative with the jerseys they wore, including Formula 1 jerseys (worn by sophomores Klein Khim and Eli Silberberg), a Latin4Lurie baseball jersey (worn by Upper School visual arts teacher Christine Holloway), and a Carla McSweeney hockey jersey (worn by Upper School math teacher Zach McArthur).
According to Junior Prefect Ralu Nzelibe, student government has been trying to bring excitement back to Spirit Week. Although not everyone wore a jersey, Ralu still expressed gratitude for the people who did, saying, “I was very happy with the outcome of Jersey Day today.”
