She has been behind the scenes of Latin’s theatrical productions for years, and now The Forum brings senior Lucy Baer center stage.
Lizzy Miller (LM): What is at the top of your bucket list?
Lucy Baer (LB): I feel like there are so many things. I want to zipline once in my life.
LM: What is the extracurricular activity that you are most involved in at Latin?
LB: I’m not on stage, but I run tech for the plays at Latin behind the scenes. I stage manage most of the productions.
LM: When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
LB: I really wanted to own a pet store. I’m biased towards dogs because I have a labrador named Gus. I used to be really afraid of dogs but now they’re my favorite because I love Gus.
LM: Do you have any party tricks or special talents?
LB: This is gross, but I can burp on command.
LM: Name three words that describe yourself.
LB: I am silly, thoughtful, and kind.
LM: If you were to listen to only one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
LB: Either “Talk talk” by Charli XCX or anything by the Beatles.
LM: How long have you been at Latin?
LB: All 14 years!
LM: What are you looking forward to most during your senior year?
LB: I think senior treats. They’re so fun! I missed the taco truck last week, and I’m really upset about it. I’m excited for senior treats, but I’m also just excited to keep in mind that this is my last year here and I have to enjoy it.
