Latin’s girls varsity basketball team ended their season with an exhilarating game in the State Sectional semifinal against Regina Dominican this past Tuesday. The team put up a strong fight to the very end but lost 44-38.

The team starters and captains, seniors Reese Benford and McLean Moroney, played for the majority of the game, making for a skillful match between the two teams.

This game was set to be a close one after a contest between the two varsity squads earlier in the season that Latin won by three points.

Freshman Myla Robertson said, “It was a tough loss, but we didn’t go down without a fight. We kept fighting until the end, keeping the score difference under 15 points the whole time. We never gave up.”
