At 9:02 p.m. on April 28, the lights in the Allstate Arena dimmed, and the screaming commenced. The floor shook beneath thousands of stomping platform boots and flashing LED heels. Dressed in head-to-toe neon green, ripped fishnets, tattered white tees, and hundreds of chains, fans transformed the venue into the epitome of what Charli called a “Brat summer.”
A massive green banner fell from the ceiling in the blink of an eye. Across it, the word “Brat,” once the symbol of Charli’s newest era, was slashed out in thin black Sharpie, causing fans to erupt in excitement. The banner's edges glowed a burnt blood orange, hinting at Charli’s new color for her next album.
When Charli came out, I let out a huge gasp. Sitting so close to her, a pop star I have always admired, felt surreal. Before I knew it, she stepped into the spotlight, raised her microphone, and the show commenced.

Phones lifted up into the air when Charli began singing “365.” Charli’s strategic decision to sing the closing track of “Brat” first represents the start of a new chapter in her musical journey.
Her effortless stage confidence was displayed through her power strutting walks, chaotic but mesmerizing twirls, and gloriously synthetic, hyper-feminine autotune, which she has made a signature trademark. Sophomore Finn Parr said, “Overall, it was a great experience. She really knows how to command a stage, and the whole concert felt like a movie.”
The energy remained high throughout the concert. Charli tore through hits from “Brat” with ease. She had no backup dancers, no distractions, no extravagant stage set, just her and her voice taking full forefront on a stage with 13,000 fans in the audience.
Sophomore Ani Metha-Shah commended Charli’s bold performance. “It wasn’t just a concert—it was an experience,” she said. “The way she commanded the stage completely alone, and still got thousands of people to scream with everything they had … it was unreal.”
Two standout moments of the night were the performances of “Apple” and “Von Dutch.” The crowd’s electric energy turned both performances into unforgettable experiences. “Apple,” the viral TikTok dance sensation of summer 2024, had the entire audience moving in sync, while “Von Dutch” delivered a high-energy dance break that kept the momentum alive and the crowd on their feet.
Speaking of TikTok fame, “party 4 u,” released in 2020 on the album “how i’m feeling now,” skyrocketed to fame due to the hyper-pop beat along with the empowering message of throwing a party for someone who doesn’t meet you halfway. Charli had a glow-in-the-dark tightrope, suspended from the ceiling, and a white banner with bold black letters spelling out “PARTY” behind her. When the song reached the chorus, Charli had the whole audience chanting the viral TikTok lyrics.

Another one of my favorite moments from the night occurred during Charli’s performance of “Track 10” when water began cascading from the ceiling, forming a circular shape around her. She danced and sang with relentless energy for a full minute while being drenched in water. As her white clothes clung to her, revealing a black bra beneath, she exuded pure confidence and remained unbothered as she continued to put on a remarkable show.
To close the night, Charli played her iconic anthem “I Love It,” ending the concert on an exhilarating high. With the rebellious energy coursing through the room, she ignited a fierce sense of freedom and excitement that lingered long after the final note.
Charli didn’t just perform; she left the audience craving more of her. The concert not only exceeded my expectations but left me in awe of her artistry and presence, marking it as one of my favorite concerts to date.
