This week, learn about hard work and lacrosse with sophomore Peter Flosi!

What is your favorite thing you're involved in outside of Latin?

SG
PF

I've really liked my time playing lacrosse for the school team, and I feel like it's been really cool to be able to make new friends and even be able to talk and socialize with some people I've never thought I would socialize with. And also being able, like I said, to meet new people has been a really cool experience.

What's your favorite thing about the team environment?

SG
PF

I would say probably the bond that the players share, especially it strengthens our friendships in school, because if you're able to play with a specific team of students and then the next day be able to go to school with them—it's cool to share experiences both outside and inside the school.

What's one thing about you that you think people wouldn't expect?

SG
PF

My work ethic or determination. It's not that people wouldn't expect it. It's that it's an aspect of my life and my character that I'm really proud of. And being able to be a hard worker and put in as much effort as possible into everything I do, and hopefully have the best outcome possible, is something that I really reside with.

What does hard work look like to you?

SG
PF

So there's a couple of scenarios in my life that are notable for this. For school specifically, hard work for me looks like going to school early or meeting with teachers. Also, going over more assignments or reviewing hard for tests. And through sports, preparing for games or working hard in practices to make sure I'm having the outcomes that I want.

What do you think is the best color of building?

SG
PF

Being from Chicago, I would say it's probably black because I think black looks the best at night with the Sears Tower and John Hancock—I think they really stand out.
