Opening the performance, Richard, a freshman and contemporary guitar major at the University of Miami, performed with Mr. Oommen a rendition of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses.

Music Club co-head, senior Kate Weiskirch, performed the indie-pop hit “Kingston” by Faye Webster in a duet with fellow senior Finn Deeney. Following this performance, senior Will Wichman and freshman Ashym Patel sang David Bowie’s “Starman.”

After the performance, Richard said, “It’s not often you get to go up onto the stage and look out onto a crowd of a bunch of smiling faces you recognize. It’s great to be welcomed back into the community I grew up in for 14 years.”
