Defiance in Focus: A Photographic Exploration of ‘Antigone Now’

“Antigone,” this year’s student-run play directed by seniors Payton Rice and Makenze Humphrey, ran last Thursday and Friday. Unlike other shows performed in Latin’s theater this year, “Antigone” is a tragedy, showcasing themes of morality, civil disobedience, and the fatal flaw that is pride.

Cherish Curtis (’26) is a senior and excited to step into the new role of Photography Editor during her last year on The Forum. She particularly enjoys covering big ticket events at Latin such as Homecoming and the Big Games. She’s most excited to photograph these events, though; producing original, creative, and high quality photos is where she truly shines. Outside of The Forum, Cherish excels as a leader in the Student Academic Board, Difficult Dialogues Council, and Black Student Union. She enjoys collecting records, trying new food, and spending time with friends.
