Varsity volleyball played against UHigh on Tuesday night in the first conference game of the season. The lady Romans won the match with a score of 25-19 in the first game and 25-15 in the second. Star players of the game included Junior Nikki Dizon with a quick kill to start the game off right and great defense, as well as Senior Captain Jacqueline Surdell with 7 kills total. After much harassment from the UHigh fans at last year’s game, it was great to be able to come out to their home court and take them in down in two games. Next up for the Romans is next Tuesday in a conference match against Elgin Academy.

I like how “kills” is a stat in volleyball. Great piece.
